4 p2p accounts over 3 countries - Q1 2019 review
Hey guys, a follow up from my previous post.
This is the 1st Quarter review of 2019
Placed additional deposits - $4K ($3K in Koinworks and $1K in FS MY)
This brings my total capital in P2P investments to $33.3K.
Monthly net interest hit an all-time high for month of March2019 - $354.62
This is contributed by an all-time high monthly income from FS MY - $133.32 and Crowdo - $83.09
Default cases, only from FS MY. Total 4 notes with total amount of $371.93.
Dec2018 report showed the default amount was at $766.82 and since then, FS MY managed to collect back some of the outstanding amount.
Withdrawals, zero at the moment.
Great sharing @ktinvest !

would your annualized roi change for malaysia if you assume no default? if yes, could you maybe put it as "potential annualize roi" so that we can compare the best case scenario? thanks in advance
nice infographic tho, easy to understand
For the annualized ROI figures that i posted, the calculation did not take the default into consideration. The default amount always changes and i plan to only write-off and include in the calculation once the case is closed or concluded.
so cool. how did you generate these reports? @ktinvest
With excel spreadsheet. 😀

wow great sharing!
wonder how you can invest in 3 different country? you need to have bank account in SG and IND?
Only MY and SG banks are needed for FS MY and FS SG respectively.
For Koinworks and Crowdo, we do not need to have ID bank account.
A virtual account will be created after you sign up with Koinworks and Crowdo.
And i use Transferwise to transfer/convert SGD into IDR.
I think Instarem also able to transfer/convert MYR into IDR. (not very sure but from the website seem like it allows it)

I know for a fact that back then the biggest downside to investing in Indonesia is due to currency risk
their FD is absurdly high back then and I did some research and many dissuaded me from doing so
In your opinion, have that changed as of now? Is the currency risk still high? If yes, how are you hedging such risks? Will you consider currency appreciation/depreciation as part of your investment returns/loss moving forward?
My average IDR is around 1SGD = 10,421 IDR.
I entered into IDR when the currency has depreciated around 10%.
And the interest return in IDR P2P average around 14-16%.
I then asked myself:-
a. will IDR depreciate another 10%?
b. if not 10%, would depreciation of 4% likely?
c. would i be happy with P2P investment interest of 10% pa after currency depreciation?
d. how about a little longer term perspective into 2022 or 2025? Will IDR improved? What macro and micro factors are influencing the IDR?
Some news to ponder on macro level.
To reach that, there will be huge infrastructure investment in the country. Will this cause IDR to weaken or strengthen? Will this boost its economies?
I do not know the final and correct answers but i like to be on the optimistic side. :)
You can transfer MYR to IDR with instarem.

@ktinvest hi, may i know how you withdraw money from Modalku Indonesia to Malaysia/SG bank account?
I do not have an account with Modalku Indonesia.
My Indonesia P2P accounts are:-
For withdrawal, i did not make any withdrawal from these 2 accounts yet.
But the plan for withdrawal is, the IDR will be repatriated back to SGD for my Singapore bank account.
End of Apr status snapshot
- No deposit.
- No withdrawal.
- FS MY - default dropped to SGD 286.09 (MYR 829.66). -> IMPROVING
- FS SG - first default. Amount is SGD 206.68 from 2 borrowers. -> WORSENING
One borrower - 5665 has multiple notes and so far, 1 note has been listed as 'Default'. 3 other notes currently being classified as 'Miss'. Highly likely will turn into 'Default' and push the default sum to SGD 414.93.
Total accumulated profit is SGD 484 after 14 months. If default sum reach SGD 414, almost all profit will be gone.
End of May status snapshot
Withdrawal (FS SG, $1.5K)
FS MY - default increased to SGD 452.86 (MYR 1,313.30). -> WORSENING
FS SG - default increased to SGD 1,440.08 -> WORSENING
Stay tune for next month, 2019 Q2 report and more details.
The report will not be rosy.
@ktinvest what is your favourite Indonesian platform and why?
Hey buddy, between Crowdo and Koinworks, i prefer the latter.
I made a comparison of these 2 in another thread with some screenshots too.
Take a look and let me know what other insights you need. :)
