Retail acceptance is declining.
Crappy use cases that don’t really solve anything.
“Trustless system” forces users to seek security outside the tech (so it didn’t solve the trust problem it seeks to solve)
Reliance on computer codes (bugs, hacking)
It is the responsibility of users to protect themselves.

What is needed to spark the next bull run? Institutional investors. Not those that trade but those who hold long term like insurance and pension funds. Pretty tough to get them on board though.
I would say that is happening already but the impact is yet to be seen on the price of cryptocurrencies.
